MUSICARES AND SO DOES NEIL

At this 9/29 MusiCares benefit event hosted by Live Nation (which made a $250k contribution to the org), Recording Academy chief Neil Portnow feels his Grammy senses tingling. "I just felt a massive disturbance in the Force," he intoned, "as though thousands of forms were being submitted all at once." Seen smiling as they ponder the filing deadlines are (l-r) MusiCares Board chair Alexandra Patsavas, Portnow, Coldplay frontman and event performer Chris Martin and MusiCares VP Dana Tomarken.
