iHEART ADDS 2 SVPs

iHeartRadio has added two new senior VPs to its staff, one to handle the traditional arena of marketing and the other to oversee podcast strategy. Beth Murphy has taken the marketing job; Chris Peterson ordered another round to celebrate his new podcasting post.

Peterson, formerly Content Partnerships Manager for TuneIn, will oversee iHeartRadio’s overall podcast strategy and grow its profile in the podcast community. He will guide content partnerships, advise the product team on its podcast roadmap, and work with sales to monetize podcast efforts. Peterson will also oversee the tap selection at iHeart’s HQ, emphasizing small batch West Coast IPAs.

Murphy, the former CMO at Deezer and Stitcher, will work closely with Chief Product Officer Chris Williams and Chief Technology Officer Adam Denenberg to oversee iHeartRadio’s overall streaming music and live digital radio strategy. She is charged with optimizing user acquisition and retention. She prefers a minerally Sauvignon Blanc.
