WANT FRIES WITH THAT REVENUE CHART?

Atlanta-based hip-hop trio Migos—upon whom Donald Glover/Childish Gambino heaped much praise during his Golden Globes acceptance speeches—leads former chart-toppers Drake, The Weeknd, The Chainsmokers and Rae Sremmurd in this, the first Song Revenue Chart of 2017.

But the biggest story is Monte Lipman's Republic, the 2016 streaming-marketshare champ, whose momentum continues into the new year with four entries in the Top 10 and six in the Top 15. And make no mistake, the terms "streaming" and "revenue" are becoming more synonymous by the week.

At the same time, the holidays have reenergized the download biz, for the moment, at least, as six of the Top 10, starting with #3 “Closer,” a massive streaming hit, generating greater revenue from sales than from streams. The Chainsmokers' giant is the only Sony entry in the Top 15.

Check out the whole thing right here.
