THE GORILLAZ GET TO THE ROOT OF IT
The Gorillaz have returned to the scene for the first time in six years with “Hallelujah Money," a protest song against the uncertain global political atmosphere of 2016, dropping just one day before Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Featuring a hauntingly soulful performance by British artist Benjamin Clementine, the lyrics pointedly refer to some of the super-charged rhetoric we've come to know like subversion from China and building a wall.
But those background visuals in the clip are perhaps the most visceral, particularly at the end when Spongebob Squarepants freaks out and runs away crying. Check it out
