FLIPOVER FRIDAY: iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC NEW ARRIVALS

Eight new titles swoop into iTunes’ Top 10 on the album side on this flipover Friday. Among the albums are the new one from some recent streaming stars, two former TV contestants and a superstar trio from the ‘90s.

Migos’ second album Culture (Quality Control) occupies the #1 slot on both the iTunes and Apple Music album charts as “Bad and Boujee” continues to top Apple Music’s songs chart.

The 26-track deluxe edition of Brantley Gilbert’s The Devil Don’t Sleep (Valory/BMLG) comes in at #2. It’s his first studio album in three years; both its predecessors went platinum.

Two finalists from singing competitions pop up on the Top 10. TSNMI’s Kehlani, a former member of PopLyfe, a girl group that finished fourth on America’s Got Talent in 2011, sees SweetSexySavage come in at #3. The runner-up from the 10th season of American Idol, Lauren Alaina, drives in at #7 with her second album for 19, Road Less Traveled.

Christian act Brian Johnson & Jenn Johnson land After All These Years (Bethel) at #4 followed by Train’s 10th album, a girl a bottle a boat, (Sunken Forest/Columbia).

Bell Biv Devoe’s first album in more than 15 years, Three Stripes, swings in at #8. The Triangle/eOne release arrives as BET airs a mini-series on the trio’s former band, New Edition.

Now That’s What I Call Music Vol. 61 (UMG/Sony) is #10.
