AMATO: THE BIBLE'S KUSHNER?

Following the announcement of Janice Min’s departure from the top spot at Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter, Todd Boehly’s right-hand man, BB/THR President John Amato, is said to be playing the role of Jared Kushner behind the scenes. Amato has his hands full attempting to pump up the former music trade—which has become a clickbait-happy “infotainment” Frankenstein of reprinted tweets, thinly veiled corporate tie-ins and fashion spreads—for a sale. The hope is that BB and THR together will fetch $200 million, but thus far the remainder of Boehly’s media portfolio (following the deal to sell Dick Clark Productions to Dalian Wanda Group) has drawn no suitors.
