FLIPOVER FRIDAY: iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC NEW ARRIVALS

iTunes customers are getting a head start on Valentine’s Day, pushing the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack from Universal Studios/Republic to #1 on flipover Friday. With new tracks from Halsey, Tove Lo, John Legend and others, the soundtrack is expected to score big by week’s end.

Four other titles make it into the Top 10 on the day of their release. The second solo album from Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, Zombies on Broadway (Vanguard), appropriately occupies the #2 slot, with BMLG’s self-titled full-length debut from former baseball pitcher Brett Young on deck at #3.

Lupe Fiasco’s DROGAS Light (1st and 15th) flips on at #5, and the dance-pop crossover effort from Christian singer Hollyn, One-Way Conversations (Gotee), is #9.

Katy Perry’s new single, “Chained to the Rhythm” f/Skip Marley (Capitol), is at #4 on the iTunes song chart just hours after its release.

At Apple Music, two 2/3 releases from R&B singers have slid into the Top 10: Syd’s Fin (The Internet/Columbia) at #7 and Sampha’s Process (Young Turks) at #10.
