HALSEY TAKES A STAND AGAINST TRUMP

Astralwerks/Capitol star Halsey does not agree with President Trump's Global Gag Rule, which bans international organizations from receiving U.S. funding if they provide, counsel, refer or lobby for abortion services. So, she's fronting a campaign to support the Global HER Act.

Months have passed since Trump signed the pro-life executive order in the first week of his presidency, and the hopeless fountain kingdom singer is trying to make sure the public doesn't let this slide because of time and distraction (relatively understandable given the constant deluge of shit that's been raining down on citizens as of late).

In a video released exclusively to Teen Vogue today, she explains the serious life-threatening consequences for women and urges viewers to support the aforementioned act of rebuttal, a bill that would get rid of the Global Gag Rule ("a failed, deadly policy first introduced by the Reagan administration that's been rescinded by every Democratic president since") once a for all. The Global HER Act ensures that eligible organizations across the world can keep providing health services with U.S. funds, while continuing to provide abortion-related services with other non-U.S. funds.
