FOSTER RECOGNIZED FOR EXCEPTIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO MUSIC

Revered songwriter, producer and all-around music man David Foster—a 16-time Grammy Award winner (and 45-time nominee), whose worked with everyone from Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson, to Madonna, Stevie Wonder, Chicago, Dolly Parton and Earth, Wind and Fire—will be honored with the Architects of Sound Award at the 2017 Grammy Museum Gala, which is set to take place at The Novo in Los Angeles on 9/19.

"We are thrilled to be celebrating such an influential talent and powerhouse music figure as David Foster for our first major fundraising event since integrating the Grammy Museum and Grammy Foundation," declared newly announced Executive Director of the Grammy Museum Scott Goldman. "Working as a producer, arranger, recording artist, songwriter and composer, David's impact on the music community is immeasurable, and we are honored to have the opportunity to place a much-deserved spotlight on his impactful work."

The fundraising affair, which will include a Wolfgang Puck-catered dinner, an awards ceremony and benefit concert, will aid the museum's newly expanded music education programs, which were integrated with those of sister organization the Grammy Foundation earlier this year. Stay tuned for an announcement of the evening's scheduled performers.
