Sources say Tina Tchen has taken a heavier hand than expected in selecting the Grammy task force members (none of whom will be Recording Academy trustees), adding that the process is taking considerably longer than anticipated and causing restlessness within and without the Academy. What’s more, these sources add, there’s increasing concern about whether the task force will be able to take on the problems associated with the awards.

Meanwhile, some biz watchers believe the Academy’s lack of transparency is already causing frustration in Tchen’s camp.
