WENDY'S KEEPS
IT FRESH

In the wake of its brief but impressive showing at iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify and big press look, buzzers are buzzing about the Wendy's hip-hop EP, We Beefin'? (Six Course), in which the fast-food chain's offerings were touted in five surprisingly credible and current-sounding rap tunes.

On tracks such as "Twitter Fingers," "Rest in Grease" and "4 for $4," an unidentified but rather fierce crew makes burger-menu items sound urgent. The EP grazed the iTunes Top 10 and spurred press coverage from Good Morning America to CNBC to the Cincinnati Enquirer wondering who was behind it.

It's clever branding, to be sure, and one wonders if the drive-through impact of this creative frolic has inspired other major brands to pursue similar avenues.

And we can't help but wonder: Who are the secret chefs who whipped this thing up?
