U.K. MIDWEEKS: ARIANA VIES FOR #1

The new Ariana Grande single “No Tears Left to Cry” (Island) is sitting just 1k combined sales behind Official Singles chart-toppers Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa at midweek stage. Over on Albums, there are four new entries in the Top 5.

The Greatest Showman soundtrack (Atlantic) is still the Official Albums #1, but with just 1k sales separating the Top 3, that could all change by Friday.

The third album from British country duo The Shires, Accidentally on Purpose (Decca), currently sits at #2. J. Cole is heading for a personal best—he’s just 500 sales behind at #3 with KOD (Interscope).

Black Stone Cherry are at #4 with Family Tree (Mascot), followed by U.K. rapper Nines with his second album, Crop Circle (XL Recordings), at #5.

Over on the Official Singles list, Calvin and Dua's “One Kiss” (Columbia/Warner Bros.) is still #1 after topping the chart last week.

The second highest new entry after Grande is “2002” (Atlantic) by Anne-Marie, which Ed Sheeran co-wrote. Further down, three new tracks from Cole’s new album, “KOD,” “Photograph,” and “ATM” enter at #16, #28 and #29.
