NAVARRA UPPED TO VP AT COLUMBIA
Mike Navarra, a former intern who cut his teeth on some unknown kids from Blighty called One Direction, has been upped to VP of Publicity at Columbia Records. He will report to SVP of Publicity Kimberly Harris.
"Mike is a talented and creative executive who has been an integral part of our team,” Harris said. “His relationship with artists and media partners allows him the ability to extend the reach for our artists in unconventional ways.”
Navarra interned in Columbia’s rhythm radio department in 2007, joining company’s Big Red internship program a year later and moved into publicity. Besides One Direction, he has worked with Harry Styles, Grace VanderWaal, Little Mix, Juicy J and others.
Navarra earned the promotion for his attention to detail, closely adhering to the scrupulous office dress code of hoodies and limited-edition kicks.
