Can Nancy Pelosi really be described as O.G.?

The 78-year-old Democratic Congresswoman and leader of her party's new majority made a strong case that she belongs in the company of Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Jay-Z, according to a CNN piece by culture-watcher Jeanne Moos (watch it below). The red coat and shades Pelosi wore to her meeting with President Trump and Senate Dem leader Chuck Schumer have already become iconic, and Pelosi's cool defiance won the Internet.

This is particularly pertinent in that the meeting, staged by the Prez in front of the press corps, ought to have been a layup for Trump, who has thus far specialized in quick-hit reality-TV moments. But this time, it seems, the Dems ruled the format. The most interesting takeaway: the pop-cultural spark ignited by Pelosi, whose biggest visibility in recent years had been as the cartoonish villain of Republican fundraising emails. Now her red coat, shades and attitude are stone gangsta.
