JON BON JOVI FOUNDATION AIDS VEGAS YOUTH HOMELESSNESS FIGHT

Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY) has launched a Housing Expansion Campaign to generate funds for a new facility, providing beds for homeless youth in Southern Nevada. The campaign kicked off with a $100k seed investment from Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS) through Sands Cares, which has also brought in the Jon Bon Jovi Foundation, pledging to match additional donations for up to $100k.

The Expansion Campaign is aiming to raise $500k through gifts from corporations and foundations as well as the local Las Vegas community. “For a homeless youth, having a bed means more than just a place to sleep -- it’s their foundation for a brighter future,” said Arash Ghafoori, Executive Director of NPHY. Bon Jovi, Board Chairman of the JBJ Soul Foundation, adds, “We are pledging support for this campaign through a matching grant because we want to motivate others to take action. Together, we can give homeless youth more than just a place to sleep – we will provide them with the resources they need for self-sufficiency and success.”
