ACL FEST WELCOMES FIRST-TIMERS EILISH, GUNS N' ROSES

Billie Eilish moves up to topline status at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, sharing the spotlight with Guns N’ Roses, Childish Gambino and Mumford & Sons.

The Cure, Cardi B, Tame Impala and Robyn also have headline status on the musically varied lineup that plays Austin’s Zilker Park on 10/4-6 and 10/11-13.

GNR, Cardi B, Eilish and Robyn are among the first-timers; for Gambino, who had to bail last year due to a foot injury, this will be the first time he has hit the ACL stage. Guns N’ Roses have not played Austin since 1993.

Like many festivals, ACL continues to move away from its roots toward the mainstream as Kacey Musgraves and Gary Clark Jr. are the only high-profile bookings from the world of Americana that birthed the fest 18 years ago.

Austin acts on the bill include Black Pistol Fire, Abhi the Nomad, Blackillac, Otis the Destroyer, Jane Ellen Bryant, Alesia Lani, Kady Rain, and Asleep at the Wheel.

Tickets are now on sale.
