FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

The sounds of guitars come roaring in this flipover Friday led by the Vampire Weekend’s fourth album. Six-strings abound on six of the seven newcomers in the Top 10 at iTunes albums while Shawn Mendes and the team of Logic and Eminem reach for the top at iTunes songs.

Vampire Weekend’s first album in six years, Father of the Bride (Spring Snow/Columbia), sits at #1, two slots ahead of the 12th album from Amon Amarth, Berserker (Metal Blade) #3.

New Found Glory covers songs from The Greatest Showman, Frozen and other blockbusters on From the Screen to Your Stereo 3 (Hopeless), which opens at #4. Bad Religion is #5 with Age of Unreason (Epitaph).

The Broadway cast album for Be More Chill, released on Warner Music Group’s Sh-K-Boom, is #6, followed by Judah & the Lion’s Pep Talks (Cletus the Van) #7.

Joy Williams’ second album since the break-up of Civil Wars, Front Porch (Sensibility/Thirty Tigers) is #9.

At songs, Shawn Mendes “If I Can’t Have You” (Island) leaps in at #2 and Logic f/Eminem’s “Homicide” (Def Jam) hits #4.

PnB Rock TrapStar Turnt PopStar (Atlantic) is the top debut at Apple Music, dropping in at #5.
