GOING LIVE WITH POLLSTAR

In case you missed it, a new edition of Pollstar's LIVE75 Chart, which launched earlier this year, went up on Friday 6/15. We were far too stoned to remember to post about it when it was published, but we swear we're fairly coherent now.

Perhaps the most compelling development to note is the large amount of debuts. We counted a whopping 31 new entrants—yes, that's around 41%. Consider this evidence that summer touring is kicking into high gear.

The highest-charting, non-legacy debut came from Pentatonix, who saw 8,880 in average tickets sold from four shows for an average gross of $414k. They appeared at #12.

Not far away was Florence + the Machine, who came in at #16 with 7,809 average tickets sold from three shows for an average gross of $427k. Maluma repped the Latin front, popping up at #17 with 7,614 average tickets sold from four shows for an average gross of $549k. He also had an impressive average-capacity-sold figure, finishing with 95%.

It's worth noting that Pentatonix is currently on a American run, while Florence and Maluma are benefiting from Mexico dates. Maluma is scheduled to do two nights at L.A.'s Forum in September.
