UMG BOOKS A ROOM WITH DAKIA

UMG, we have been informed, is launching a JV with Dakia Global Enterprise, an "impact investment management holding company," to explore "experiential" hospitality ventures with a music focus.

Little concrete info is available yet—hence the exploratory part—but we'll keep you posted. Will whatever club/hotel/restaurant experiences emerge from this pact have the impact of a Hard Rock-type franchise? Stay tuned.

In a related story, the "experiential" saga of the HITS-sponsored crab shack probably merits repeating, but not anywhere people could actually read it.
