BEATLES SINGLES BOXED

The Beatles’ 22 U.K. singles released between 1962 to 1970 are being boxed up in The Beatles: The Singles Collection that Apple/Capitol/UMe will release on 11/22.

Also included is a new double A-side single for the mid-1990s-issued tracks “Free As a Bird” and “Real Love.” Sean Magee cut the vinyl from original mono and stereo master tapes at Abbey Road Studios. A 40-page booklet with photos, ephemera, and detailed essays by Beatles historian Kevin Howlett comes with the set.

U.K. singles were generally not released in picture sleeves so the collection’s seven-inches are presented in reproduced picture sleeves from their original releases in the U.S., Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Denmark, France, Greece, Holland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and West Germany.

The U.K. is repped by the sleeve art for “Let It Be” b/w “You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)”; 1962’s “Love Me Do” b/w “P. S. I Love You” is a copy of the U.S. artwork.
