U.K. MIDWEEKS: A CHALLENGE FROM GAGA

Lady Gaga is challenging The Weeknd for the U.K.’s Official Singles #1 with “Stupid Love” (Polydor) sitting at #2 midweek. Over on albums, Five Finger Death Punch, James Taylor and Caribou have Top 5 entries.

There’s just 1.2k combined sales between The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” (Island) at #1, and Gaga at #2. The former is ahead on streaming while the latter is currently winning on downloads.

The remaining singles in the Top 5 are “Roses” (Ministry of Sound) by Saint Jhn, up one place to #3, Billie Eilish’s “No Time To Die” (Polydor) at #4 and “Don’t Start Now” (Warner Records) by Dua Lipa at #5.

Further down, Lipa’s “Physical” is set to be her eighth Top 10 hit, rising five places to #9, while rapper Doja Cat could claim her first with “Say So” (Ministry of Sound) up nine to #10.

On the U.K.’s Official Albums midweeks, Five Finger Death Punch are set for a personal best at #2 with F8 (Better Noise), while Lewis Capaldi’s Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent (Virgin EMI) reclaims the top spot.

American Standard (Fantasy) by James Taylor starts at #4, followed by Caribou’s Suddenly (City Slang) at #5.

Lil Baby is charging toward his first U.K. Top 10 with second studio album, My Turn (UMG), at #7, while Disco Volador ([PIAS]) has Yorkshire indie band The Orielles on the cusp of their first Top 40 at #15.
