With one day to go before the tabulation of votes begins, Sony Music Group has posted the results of the Your Voice, Your Power, Your Vote initiative it launched in August.
Over the course of the campaign, more than 70 Sony Music artists and songwriters have created videos about the importance of voting and the power of one’s voice. Among the artists featured in the films and PSAs are Pharrell Williams, Bruce Springsteen, Khalid and JP Saxe.
The company has also hosted town halls designed with big names like former U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch, New York State Sen. Jamaal Bailey and Congress member Karen Bass, mounted a collaboration with Lyft to provide access to free and discounted rides on Election Day and partnered with PacSun to create a national voter-campaign apparel line to educate, engage and promote civic participation.
Further, Sony Music Group is giving all employees, who received comprehensive voter education as well as access to voter information and support, Election Day off to facilitate voting.
