RECORDS is claiming the #1 spot on three radio charts with two of its records, and there ain't gonna be no stinkin' recount. The ballots are in, and RECORDS/Columbia promo maven John Strazza is hailing 24K Goldn's runaway smash "Mood" f/Iann Dior (RECORDS/Columbia), which owns the top spot at Pop and Rhythm. Meanwhile, Matt Stell has the Country radio #1 with "Everywhere But On" (RECORDS/Arista Nashville); AN VP promo Josh Easler and Sony Music Nashville's Steve Hodges will each get an extra helping of hot chicken.
“It’s an anomaly for a label of any size or stature to be #1 at such diverse formats," goes a quote from RECORDS topper Barry Weiss, "so we’re just blown away by what these artists, these songs and the teams both at RECORDS and our partner labels Columbia and Arista Nashville have been able to achieve." Weiss would have commented further but had to resume counting votes in Arizona.
