NITO'S JAMMIN' AUCTION

The National Independent Talent Organization (NITO) has launched its first fundraising initiative.

From 12/3 to 12/13, the nonprofit, in partnership with CharityBuzz, will be hosting an online guitar-and-stringed-instrument auction to benefit COVID-19 relief in Congress, continuing its efforts on behalf of the live-touring and larger music industry.

The auction boasts an impressive selection of instruments from a star-studded lineup that includes Bonnie Raitt, Kurt Vile, Leon Bridges, George Benson, John Mellencamp, Joe Satriani, Weezer, Fall Out Boy and Tommy Lee, among many others.

“Music is the lifeblood for many: music fans in front of the stage, those who work backstage and the performers on the stage," said donor Chris Smither. "NITO is fighting the fight for musicians and all those who make live music happen so everyone the world over may continue to enjoy the thrill and joy of hearing music in person."

Made up of more than 1,000 independent talent agencies, management firms, associate artists and live-touring entities, NITO has advocated for the passage of the RESTART Act, the Save Our Stages Act, the HITS Act and other bills designed to benefit the independent music community, plus extension of Pandemic Unemployment Assistance.
