FANS, ARTISTS CELEBRATE DMX

Fans are honoring Ruff Ryders/Def Jam rapper DMX by consuming his influential catalog. "Ruff Ryders Anthem" soared to #1 on iTunes by midday Friday, the day the hip-hop icon died, at age 50. "Party Up" and "X Gon' Give It to Ya" climbed to #2 and #3, respectively, by Friday evening.

DMX's albums soared at iTunes as well. The Best of DMX; Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood; It's Dark and Hell Is Hot; and ...And Then There Was X all moved into the Top 10.

Over at Apple Music, "Ruff Ryders' Anthem" soared to #3, while two albums cracked the Top 5.

Collaborators including Swizz Beatz, Pharrell, Snoop Dogg, Nas, Irv Gotti and more flooded social media with tributes to DMX.
