DABABY DELETED FROM LOLLA, MORE (UPDATE)

UPDATE: DaBaby issued an apology to the LGBTQ+ community on Monday following his removal from multiple festival lineups. Read his statement below.

DaBaby was dropped from 8/1's Lollapalooza lineup and has been removed from the 9/24 lineup of New York's Governors Ball Music Festival and 11/13's Day N Vegas due to homophobic comments he made last month at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami. Young Thug took his slot at Lolla and Roddy Ricch has been added to Day N Vegas; his replacement at GovBall is TBA.

A statement from Lollapalooza’s Twitter account read: “Lollapalooza was founded on diversity, inclusivity, respect and love. With that in mind, DaBaby will no longer be performing at Grant Park tonight.” The GovBall socials noted, "Founders Entertainment does not and will not tolerate hate or discrimination of any kind. We welcome and celebrate the diverse communities that make New York City the greatest city in the world."

At Rolling Loud, DaBaby encouraged fans to hold their phones in the air if they “didn’t show up with HIV/AIDS” and made other comments derogatory towards the LGBTQ+ community.

The backlash was swift and fierce, with Elton John and Dua Lipa, who featured DaBaby on a remix of her single “Levitating,” calling out the rapper for his remarks.
