RHINO U.K. JAZZED BY JAZEEL

Warner Music U.K. has tapped Amazon Music U.K. exec Myn Jazeel to oversee marketing for Rhino U.K. He’ll report directly to Warner Music U.K. CEO Tony Harlow.

Most recently Senior Label and Industry Relations Manager at Amazon Music U.K., Jazeel will be responsible for marketing activity for the label and releases from such artists as David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac and Prince. He will also join the WMUK senior leadership team, where he will have a voice in the overall direction of the U.K. business.

Harlow said of Jazeel: “I’ve known him for a while, and he’s a thoughtful and entrepreneurial executive who will help us grow our business. More and more, the streaming audience is evolving, and both deep and shallow catalog are seeing the benefits of new audiences being attracted by the ease of voice search and services like Amazon Music. Myn has been at the forefront of driving those consumers in their music choices, and he’s going to help us create huge opportunities for our artists.”

Interim Head of Rhino U.K. Jeremy Marsh will remain on board to help transition Jazeel into the business while continuing as a Special Adviser to the Global Catalog team, reporting to President, Global Catalog, and President, Arts Music, Kevin Gore.

Jazeel joined Amazon Music U.K. in 2015, leading its European catalog-streaming strategy. His music-industry career began in 1991 when he took a job with Entertainment U.K. as a music buyer. He's also worked for Telstar TV, V2TV and Sanctuary Records.
