LONDON CALLING

Dre London, best known as manager of Republic streaming colossus Post Malone, is launching his own label, London Music Group, in partnership with tech platform/music-services shop Vydia.

Vydia will provide infrastructure, audio/video supply chain and distribution while relying on what CEO/Co-Founder Roy LaManna calls London's "innate ability to discover talent and create superstars on a global level." For his part, London praised Vydia's ability to "empower independent music labels." LaManna and Vydia played a key role in the success of Malone's first single, 2015's "White Iverson," which was recently certified octuple platinum.

London Music Group will launch its debut single on 10/29 in the form of a cut from Mario and Chris Brown.

And now, ladies and gentleman, we're delighted to present a vintage photo of Dre's visit to the HITS offices, where Editor in Chief Lenny Beer pointed and emulated the flashcard for "human emotion #6" as Research Editor Jamie Mitchell attempted to empower his pencil sharpener.
