MIXEDBYALI LAUNCHES NONAME RECORDINGS

Grammy-winning engineer MixedByAli and business partner Dan Maynard have launched a new label: Noname Recordings.

The music incubator will provide artists, producers and audio engineers with the tools necessary and resources needed to navigate the current music-business landscape.

“I’ve been blessed by a career that has given me the opportunity to be involved in some of the biggest records released over the past decade,” said MixedByAli. “With this new venture, we are now abled to be even more hands-on with developing and curating the sounds of tomorrow.”

Noname's first artist is Malik Moses, whom Ali discovered through his Twitch music-competition series—acts from all over the world submitted their songs, which Ali would then play for his thousands of Twitch viewers, who cast their votes in real time. Moses won a trip to L.A. to record with Ali, leading to the Noname launch and signing.
