ROMEO EARNS SVP LOVE AT REPUBLIC

Republic’s Lucas Romeo has been elevated to SVP Promotion, it was announced today by EVP Gary Spangler, to whom Romeo reports. The NYC-based Romeo will oversee promo efforts at multiple formats, guide the promo team and refer to everyone within a five-mile radius as “buddy.”

“Lucas is the most forward-thinking modern promotion executive in the music business,” enthused Spangler. “He is constantly one step ahead of the competition. There’s no one I’d rather have at my side as we sail into uncharted waters. Best of all, now he can take Hensley’s calls.”

“I am grateful to Monte [Lipman], Avery [Lipman] and Gary for the opportunity to carry the flag into the next chapter of Republic,” reads Romeo’s quote. “We will continue to be the most progressive promotion team as the music business evolves. I’m proud to build upon the diversity and excellence that is the Republic roster.”

Romeo joined the label in 2014 as a Nashville regional, subsequently relocating to New York to serve as VP Top 40. Republic’s promo team recently earned #1 overall label share at Mediabase for the eighth straight year and prevailed at numerous top formats.
