GIVE THE BUSINESS MANAGER SOME

This is a little item about money... and how to get more of it.

Royalty collector HIFI has announced a partnership with 12 of the largest business-management firms to launch an enterprise version of its popular Royalties Dashboard, a financial platform that tracks and aggregates data from labels, distribution services, PROs and music publishers.

“The rise of streaming has meant that artists are releasing more music than ever, with multiple collaborators and frequently via multiple distribution channels,” said HIFI founder Damian Manning. “This all adds up to manual accounting procedures that are highly repetitive and error-prone. Our aim with HIFI Enterprise is to automate the heavy lifting that’s required to ensure that artists across the market and their teams have a clear idea of what they’re earning, what’s in their pipeline and when they’ll get paid.”

Justin Kobay, partner at LL Business Management, the firm whose clients include Lil Nas X, Timbaland and Internet Money, added: “As business managers, we’re constantly striving to maximize the upside for our artists. HIFI’s enterprise platform will help us do just that, ensuring we’re not leaving any of our clients’ money on the table. You guys have my Venmo, right?”
