WE STOP THE PRESSES TO REMEMBER TOM THORNHILL

HITS lost a longtime friend and key partner on 12/18 of last year as Tom Thornhill—whose companies have served as our printers since issue #1 in 1986—died of lung cancer at the age of 76.

Initially with Color West and then Graphic Visions, Tom was unflagging in his dedication to getting our magazine across the finish line, despite the endless deadline changes, last-minute reversals and other hair balls we tossed into the mix. He was conscientious to a fault and took enormous pride in having worked with us from the very beginning.

Our condolences go out to his wife, Carol, his loved ones and his colleagues. Tom was one of a kind and we’ll miss him terribly.
