U.K. MIDWEEKS: TFF POINT TO #1

Tears for Fears head for their first U.K. Official Albums #1 in 33 years as “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” (Walt Disney) looks set for a seventh week at the top of the singles list.

Following TFF’s The Tipping Point (Concord) are three other new entries heading for this week’s albums Top 5: Central Cee’s self-released mixtape, 23, at #2, Avril Lavigne’s Love Sux (Parlophone) at #3 and, at #4, Johnny Marr’s Fever Dreams Pts 1-4 (BMG), which could become the former Smiths guitarist’s third Top 10 solo set.

Gang of Youths is also new, at #6, with Angel in Realtime (Warner Music U.K.), and Beth Hart’s covers album, A Tribute to Led Zeppelin (Mascot), starts at #7.

Rock Believer (UMG) from German rockers the Scorpions starts at #8. Half Man Half Biscuit is new at #10 with its self-released set, The Voltarol Years.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweek chart, Encanto’s “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” has maintained its iron grip on the #1 spot.

“Down Under” (Warner Music U.K.) from DJ Luude and Men at Work singer Colin Hay continues its rise, jumping three places to a new peak of #6.

Fireboy DML and Ed Sheeran’s “Peru” (Island) and “Where Are You Now” (Insanity) by Lost Frequencies f/Calum Scott are battling for the #2 spot, with fewer than 100 in sales separating the two; the former is marginally ahead today.

“Make Me Feel Good” (Polydor) by Belters Only has jumped to a new peak of #4, while Jax Jones and MNEK look set to reach a new high of #12 with “Where Did You Go” (Polydor).
