Ben and Daniel Parmar, who were appointed co-presidents of A&R at UMG U.K. label Virgin EMI in 2019, have left the company, according to a report in Record of the Day.
The duo arrived at the label, now called EMI Records, during the reign of previous president Ted Cockle, who exited in 2020 to be replaced by Rebecca Allen. Their label, PMR, became a partner of EMI.
Acts the brothers have had a hand in developing over the course of their careers include Klaxons, La Roux, Disclosure and Jessie Ware.
If the Record of the Day report is true, who will replace them? Stay tuned.
