A pair of critical and commercial landmarks loom large in the vibrant year-to-date vinyl and catalog sectors. Fleetwood Mac’s 45-year-old Rumours tops the vinyl chart, selling 55k LPs, while its 160k in total activity makes it the #3 catalog title. The only other album to land in the Top 10 of both charts is Nevermind, Nirvana’s 1991 game-changer. The #1 catalog album is Eminem’s 2005 hits collection, Curtain Call, with 172k. Will Marshall join Big Mac and Nirvana in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year? He certainly has the credentials and charisma.
