ORMOND BECOMES GOLDENVOICE COO

AEG Presents COO of festivals Melissa Ormond will now also serve as COO of Goldenvoice. She will report to AEG Presents chairman/CEO Jay Marciano and Goldenvoice CEO Paul Tollett.

“Melissa’s reputation precedes her,” Tollett gushed. “She’s a brilliant executive and one of the most dedicated, clear-eyed, hardworking people I’ve ever met. I’m so happy she’s joining Goldenvoice in this new role.”

Ormond kicked off her career at Washington D.C.'s 9:30 Club, leaving as GM. She then worked for House of Blues Entertainment, Universal Concerts and MCA Concerts before landing the presidential role at Madison Square Garden Entertainment and finally coming to AEG Presents (which owns Goldenvoice).

“Goldenvoice has an extraordinary history," said Ormond. "The name itself has become synonymous with a curation of live experiences on the West Coast that’s unmatched. I am thrilled to be working directly with the company across the entire business and helping the Goldenvoice team guide its exciting future.” The name of the company being inspired by an angelic, sound-enhancing strain of weed is pretty cool, too.

In her new post, Ormond looks forward to beating her personal best for avoiding our calls.
