EPIC BOLSTERS PUBLICITY TEAM

Epic has two new VPs of Publicity. Ayanna Wilks has been promoted from Senior Director of Public Relations and Natalie Geday arrives from her own firm, NMG Relations, which she launched in 2012. The news was announced by SVP/Head of Publicity Melissa Victor, to whom they will both report.

Prior to joining Epic in 2019, Wilks launched her career in PR at Diane von Furstenberg before spending two years at Wilhelmina Models as Director of the celebrity division and four years at Roc Nation as Director of Communications. She also co-founded The Brownie Agency, a network that “promotes culture, good vibes and Black-girl magic.”

Over the past decade, Geday has handled public relations and media strategy for talent in music, TV/film, sports and politics. She's held publicity roles at RCA, Capitol and 19 Entertainment. Geday is returning to Epic, having kicked off her career as an assistant in the media department back in 2006.

“Ayanna is immensely respected and trusted by her colleagues, artists, managers and press partners with good reason—she’s one of the most diligent and dynamic media executives in the business,” said Victor. “[Natalie's] one of the most savvy and hard-working publicists in the business, and she’s going to be key to our continued evolution and growth as a team.”

“The past three years have been nothing short of unforgettable. I want to thank Melissa for her continued support and incredible leadership and Sylvia Rhone for being an inspiration,” said Wilks.

Said Geday, “I started my career at Epic Records, so this is a real full-circle moment for me. I’m so excited to not only work alongside the legendary Melissa Victor and her entire team but to also have the opportunity to work with an industry icon I have long admired, Ms. Sylvia Rhone."
