ACM ANNOUNCES SPECIAL AWARD HONOREES

Miranda Lambert, Morgan Wallen and Chris Stapleton are among the artists who will receive special awards at the 15th annual Academy of Country Music Honors.

The Triple Crown Award will be conferred upon Lambert, Wallen will be recognized with the Milestone Award and the ACM Spirit Award will go to Stapleton.

Also being acknowledged are Connie Bradley, who's been selected to receive the Icon Award, Paul Barnabee and Dwight Wiles, who will receive the Lifting Lives Award, business manager and adviser Duane Clark, planned recipient of the Service Award and Sonny Throckmorton and Shania Twain, each of whom has been chosen for the Poet’s Award.

Yellowstone will be honored with the ACM Film Award. HARDY was previously announced as Songwriter of the Year.

“ACM Honors is truly a special and unique night as the entire country music community comes together to celebrate the achievements of artists, musicians and industry executives who've had a positive impact on the industry during the prior year or over their careers,” said Academy of Country Music CEO Damon Whiteside. “Being the 15th anniversary of this event also makes it a night to remember some of the Academy’s pioneers who originally inspired these honors.”

The 15th annual Academy of Country Music Honors will take place 8/24 at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.
