Interscope has announced the signing of Houston rapper Lebra Jolie, who just dropped her major-label debut single and video, "Spring, Summer."
Inked by Interscope VP of A&R Baroline Diaz, Lebra garnered a reputation as one of the hottest MCs in Houston—home to Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion. “I met Lebra about three years ago, and I instantly knew she was a star,” said Diaz. “Her confidence and energy are like no other. I have no doubt that her talent and resilience will leave a mark on the industry.”
Jolie got her start as a preteen, penning poetry that led to her rhyming over Limewire beats and uploading the results to MySpace. From there, her YouTube channel became a hub for her talent as she steadily built a following on the local scene.
Nicole Wyskoarko, IGA EVP, Co-Head of A&R, added: “Excited for Lebra to join the Interscope family! She’s built a solid foundation on her own and we’re glad she chose to partner with us for the next phase of her career. I look forward to everything she’s going to accomplish in the future.”
