DAY OF THE KNIGHT

At an L.A. garden party to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, UMG topper Sir Lucian Grainge, CBE, joins U.K. Consul General Emily Cloke, lyricist extraordinaire Bernie Taupin and Deputy Consul General Lara Hallett for this regal photo op. In addition to remarks by LG, Cloke and others, the jolly confab featured a performance by South London-bred Island artist Lola Young. Shortly after this tableau was captured, Sir Grainge emphasized to Cloke that it was a matter of utmost national security that Her Majesty never, ever, ever view this website.

Sir Grainge poses with Sofia Richie, Elliot Grainge and Caroline Grainge (i.e. what the Royal Family refers to as "the mishpuchah") shortly before observing that garden parties feel very different when it's 3,000 degrees outside.

Here we see two knights, LG and Sir Patrick Stewart. One of these gentlemen has borne the awesome responsibility of piloting an intergalactic spacecraft. The other one is a TV star.
