LENA WAITHE'S HILLMAN GRAD DROPS ITS FIRST CYPHER

Hillman Grad Records, Lena Waithe's joint venture with Def Jam, has released its first cypher, featuring three of its signees: Grammy-winning songwriter/artist Davion, SIYA and Jai'len Josey.

Inglewood native Davion Farris has had a successful career as an award-winning songwriter, earning a Grammy for his work on Lucky Daye's Falling in Love. He's also collaborated with R&B titans Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, Ginuwine, Tyrese and more and just dropped a new cut, "Bad Guy."

Leading off the cypher is veteran rapper and actress SIYA. Born in New York and raised in Atlanta, she has released a solo album and starred in Sisterhood of Hip Hop, Deuces, The First Purge, Follow Me and Street Dreams: Los Angeles. She's currently working on her debut EP for Hillman Grad.

Also an actress and singer, Josey made her Broadway debut at the age of 16 in Spongebob Squarepants the Musical. Raised in Atlanta, she blends pop and R&B with her roots in southern hip-hop.
