Needless to say, the museum's latest event, which drew Smokey Robinson and other luminaries to celebrate a trove of the greatest songs ever written and recorded, just preceded the departure of the great tunesmith Lamont Dozier, whose contributions to the Motown catalog are enormous and essential.
