U.K. MIDWEEKS: 3-WAY TUSSLE FOR #1

Steps, Madonna and Aitch are in a three-way battle for the U.K.’s Official Albums #1. Over on singles, LF System looks set for another week on top.

At the U.K. chart week's halfway point, Steps’ greatest hits set, Platinum Collection (Sony Music CG), is #1, with Madonna’s Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones (Rhino) a close second. The debut from Aitch, Close to Home (Capitol), is #3 but winning on streams, outperforming Steps by nearly 7:1.

Viva Las Vengeance (WEA) by Panic! at The Disco eyes a #4 entry, while OasisBe Here Now (Big Brother Recordings) returns to the Top 5, at #5, 25 years after its release thanks to a collection of silver anniversary formats.

Demi Lovato’s HOLY FVCK (Island) is new at #6. Hot Chip is on track to return to the Top 10 for the first time in 14 years, with Freakout/Release (Domino) at #7.

The last of what could be eight new entries in this week’s Top 10 is AfterLife (Better Noise Music) by Five Finger Death Punch, at #9.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, LF System’s “Afraid To Feel” (Warner Records) is on track for an eighth consecutive week at #1, with “B.O.T.A. (Baddest of Them All)” (Warner Records/X One House) by DJ Eliza Rose and producer Interplanetary Criminal close behind at #2.

OneRepublic’s Top Gun: Maverick track, “I Ain’t Worried” (Interscope), continues its ascent, up one to #5 today. Aitch and Ed Sheeran’s collaboration, “My G” (Capitol), is new at #7, and BLACKPINK could claim its first Top 10 single, with “Pink Venom” (Interscope) at #8.
