Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bad Bunny have been added to the 2022 MTV VMAs lineup. Both are currently on U.S. stadium tours.
The Chili Peppers, who will be honored with the Global Icon Award, will grace the stage of Newark's Prudential Center, where the awards will be held; MTV will broadcast Bunny's performance live from Yankee Stadium, where his World's Hottest Tour will be marking the second of two shows there.
They join a lineup that includes Nicki Minaj, BLACKPINK, Anitta, Marshmello x Khalid, Lizzo, Måneskin, Panic! at the Disco, Kane Brown and a metaverse collab between Eminem and Snoop Dogg.
We reached out to Paramount Music boss Bruce Gillmer to see if there are any surprises in store for Sunday's show, but his only response was, "Suck my kiss."
The VMAs will air live on 8/28 at 5pm PT/ET.
