JEPSEN LAUNCHES "LONELIEST" ROCKET

Hot off a Top 20 debut with her fifth studio LP, The Loneliest Time (Schoolboy/ Interscope), Carly Rae Jepsen has the Internet on her side once again as the title track explodes at TikTok.

"The Loneliest Time" f/Rufus Wainwright (video below) was the second-biggest song at TikTok U.S. last week, growing to 125k+ creations. It generated nearly 80k videos in a single week. Fans are using the snippet in which Jepsen proclaims, "I'm coming back for you, baby."

The TikTok action has led to a boost in activity for the song (up 216% in U.S. streams) and Jepsen's catalog, which has increased in streams by 10%.

Jepsen's return to virality arrives 10 years after her first smash, "Call Me Maybe," took the Internet by storm. That song, along with Blackberry messenger, is what HITS COO Todd Hensley is referencing when he recalls his glory days.
