PULSE Music Group, now celebrating big Grammy love for several of its writers, is also heralding the addition of Tizita Makuria as VP A&R. Makuria, formerly of APG, has worked with Songwriter of the Year nominee Amy Allen as well as Derrick Milano and inked Bazzi, Sabrina Claudio and production duo Rice N’ Peas. She’s seen here at PULSE’s Silver Lake HQ with President Ashley Calhoun (l) and Co-CEO Scott Cutler, both of whom later joined her for a robust salad of locally sourced greens.
PULSE’s nominations haul includes Big 3 nods and more for Tyler Johnson (Harry Styles), AOTY and Rap nods for FNZ (Kendrick Lamar, Future & Drake, Pusha T), AOTY and Dance/Electronic noms for Nick Green (Beyoncé) and Rap-category respect for Angel Lopez (Jack Harlow), to name but a few. They look forward to discussing all of the above with literally anyone but us.
Co-CEO Josh Abraham is not pictured here because he was off doing the happy dance over his own nomination, for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package (Artists Inspired by Music: Interscope Reimagined), along with Steve Berman, Jimmy Iovine, John Janick and Jason Sangerman. Later, Josh joined his colleagues to work on the Famous Beards of Sunset Junction crossword puzzle.
