KARI LAKE'S LAST DANCE

Republican Kari Lake lost the recent election for Arizona governor to Katie Hobbs. A Trump devotee, Lake took a page out of her orange messiah's coloring book and refused to concede; as part of her defiant media tantrum, she played Tom Petty's song "I Won't Back Down."

And as a true Trump imitator, she didn't bother to get permission.

On 11/19, the Petty Estate tweeted the following message:

Lake hied to Mar-a-Lago for Trump's 2024 campaign kickoff; given her status as a belligerent bigot and "angertainment" candidate, she is said to be on the short list for his VP pick (Mike Pence, despite his craven supplication to the very insurrectionists who threatened his life, is apparently out). With an agenda that included making everyone live like a refugee, taking rights away from American girls and just generally doing us like that, Lake is inarguably a most petty candidate. But she shouldn't have fucked with Tom.
