TAG, THEY'RE IT! SHAZAM'S BIGGEST MOVERS

The Paramount Network’s Yellowstone has been a real kick in the pants for country artists, and this week Zach Bryan goes flying up the Shazam USA Top 100 thanks to a sync on the neo-Western. Meanwhile, Netflix’s Wednesday is working wonders for lesser-known artists.

Bryan’s “The Good I’ll Do” (Warner) is not only the biggest mover this week on the stateside Shazam chart, it’s #1 overall.

But thanks to a placement on Wednesday, “Goo Goo Muck” (Capitol), a 1981 gem by The Cramps, is the biggest mover in the U.K. and second-biggest in the U.S. The Addams Family spinoff also got thumbs a-poppin’ for Apocalyptica’s string quartet version of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” (Mercury) and Wolf Larsen’s 2011 track “If I Be Wrong” (Sara Ramey Music).

Disney+’s Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special featured nearly a dozen rockin’ holiday tunes. It was Smashing Pumpkins’ “Christmastime” from a 1997 A&M charity collection, however, that caught the ears of Shazammers on both sides of the Atlantic.
