IT'S ALTOGETHER OOKY

As you might've read, the hit Netflix series Wednesday started a TikTok craze when its titular Addams Family character (portrayed by the lissome Jenna Ortega) danced on the show and the Little Monsters ingeniously synced the sequence to Lady Gaga's 2011 jam "Bloody Mary."

Well, just to bring the whole pop-cultural fandango full circle, Gaga herself—done up in Wednesday togs to glammy perfection—offered her own rendition of the dance on the platform.

As a result of the Wednesday craze, the song is enjoying fresh success, hitting #1 at Shazam and the Top 40 at Spotify global—stay tuned for updates on its progress. Given the recent exploits of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill," the potential for a canny sync (particularly on a young-skewing Netflix genre series) to supercharge a catalog cut appears unlimited.

The song Wednesday famously danced to was actually "Goo Goo Muck" by retro-punk visionaries The Cramps (it appears on their wonderful 1981 set, Psychedelic Jungle). Is a Gaga/"Goo Goo" mashup too much to hope for?
