A HEAPING BOWL OF ENCANTO

Encanto, the Grammy-nominated Disney blockbuster with songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, was the subject of an acclaimed evening at the Hollywood Bowl in November. Now Disney+ has unveiled the first trailer for the film of the concert, which will be available to stream on 12/28.

Featuring the original voice cast, an 80-person orchestra, 50 dancers and a plethora of special effects, the show was produced for streaming by Disney Branded Television and Fulwell 73 Productions.

Released in 2021, Encanto grossed more than $256m worldwide. The platinum-certified ST album, which boasts eight songs by Miranda and a score by Oscar-winning composer Germaine Franco, sat at #1 for nine non-consecutive weeks, anchored by the triple-platinum streaming giant "We Don’t Talk About Bruno." The soundtrack is up for three Grammys: Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media Album, Score Soundtrack for Visual Media and Song Written for Visual Media.

Watch the gorgeous trailer below. In the meantime, we'll attempt to find out if it's OK to talk about Bruno yet.
